Zallzo is an e-commerce brand located in Salt Lake City, Utah. They sell a variety of home goods and products, but were failing to keep up with competing brands like Amazon, Ebay, and Walmart. As a part of my class work at General Assembly, I was assigned to re-design Zallzo's website experience from the ground up.

Usability tests, interviews, competitive research, site maps, and tree tests revealed many of the key issues with Zallzo's website: - The website felt generic, using lots of stock imagery of products that weren't even being sold, held lots of dead space, and was full of redundancy. - Many of the smaller interactions were unintuitive or not functional. For example, global navigation drop downs weren't always working, and an "Add to Cart" button is missing on the product detail pages. - Overall, Zallzo was failing to build brand trust with first time users.

Using my user research to inform my redesign, I created a high fidelity Figma prototype to showcase the types of changes that would be necessary for Zallzo.com to become a more refined and intuitive experience for users. Various parts of the experience were changed, specifically in the Home page, Product Listings page, and Product Detail page. Dead space was eliminated as much as possible. More options for product filters were added. The product detail page was populated with more information about the product. More product listings were added via carousels placed in strategic locations in order to incite more convenience. Content in the hero carousel and category cards were changed to reflect actual products being sold rather than placeholder stock images.
